A favorite local bar, the Brew House is where we shot our Kickstarter video. Not only did it serve as our shooting location, but it also served as the first place we held public playtests of Cards On Tap. In addition to the excellent beer selection it also features amazing food and wing specials.
Barrage Brewing Company

Established in 2011, Barrage Brewing Company features over 27 different beers. Their tasting room, open Thursday through Sunday, is open for flights, pints, and growlers, and features some fun games. We highly recommend their Yada Yada Yada beer, which is a unique brown ale with chocolate, peanuts, and caramel.

Located in the heart of Farmingdale on Main Street, Lithology Brewing won awards from the New York International Beer Competition in 2016 and 2017, as well as Best Long Island Brewery in 2017. Our personal favorite beer, both in name and taste, is their Strong Island Ale.

No other brewery will give you the home-brew feel like Barnshed Brewing. This Hicksville gem features a dozen craft brews across a variety of flavors and styles. If you only have time for one, we recommend you try the Double Doubt Double IPA. At 9.0% ABV it is sure to lift your spirits.

At the northern peak of Long Island is Garvies Point Craft Brewery along Glen Cove Creek. Featuring a tasting room attached to their brewery, Garvies Point crafts some of Long Island’s favorite brews. Our personal favorite is the Paddle Bender, a double imperial porter with vanilla and chocolate tastes.

Doc’s is an Ave A hideout with a great brew selection, loud music, and good company. Sporting a Texas roadhouse-style, Doc’s has that classic dive bar feel but in the heart of Manhattan’s East Village. The best jukebox in town blasts Johnny Cash and beers are downed like water.

The Brewer's Collective

Opening its doors in Bay Shore in April 2017, the Brewer’s Collective was born of a social experiment by nine home-brewers. They are the a true nano-brewery, producing small batch craft beer for the Long Island audience. Featuring dart boards, and video games, it is a great place to enjoy truly original brews.

With a small scale that they are proud of, Destination Unknown boasts an ever changing line-up of beers to keep the party going. Our favorite is the Science of Selling Nightmares, an absolutely incredible sour beer.
Great South Bay Brewery

If you’ve had a craft beer from Long Island, there is a good chance it was brewed by Great South Bay. Featuring Long Island themed beers, Great South Bay has a huge tasting room with a large open space and game nights on Mondays. We recommend the Blood Orange Pale Ale.
